Rick Sloane Night
at the
New Beverly Cinema

"It takes 25 years of bad film making to be honored with a movie night in your name!"

What?
Showings of Rick's first two features, Blood Theatre and The Visitants. Both will be screened on 35mm for the first time in two decades.

Blood Theatre - While Rick Sloane was 21 and a student at Los Angeles City College, he submitted a fake ten page script to gain free access to school equipment and a sound stage. Instead, he shot his first feature film, Blood Theatre. With the eeriness of the Shining, a haunted old movie palace becomes the site of a series of gruesome murders. Cult star Mary Woronov plays the evil assistant manager. Watch the trailer.

The Visitants - For Sloane's second feature, he decided to pay an homage to Plan 9 From Outer Space. The Visitants are outer space aliens who invade Earth on Halloween night. Saturated in garish colors and 50's campiness, it's a film favorite among Rick's hardcore fans. Watch the trailer.
